About Us

A late-night show for curious minds

Nightcap Radio Hour is an independent weekly podcast: long, honest conversations with people building interesting things — recorded after dark, released every Thursday.

Two hosts recording a late-night episode at a studio table

It started with a kitchen table

The first episode was recorded in 2020 on borrowed gear, with a guest who could only meet at 11pm. The conversation ran two hours — and nobody wanted to cut a minute of it.

That accident became the format. Six seasons on, the gear is professional and the studio is real, but the rulebook hasn't changed: night-time recordings, no scripts, no re-dos, and guests who have something to say.

Today the show reaches night owls in 40+ countries, with a catalogue spanning technology, branding, design, business, science, and the occasional true-crime detour.

What we believe

Curiosity first

We book guests to learn from them, not to promote them. If we're not genuinely curious, the episode doesn't happen.

Honesty over polish

Dead ends, disagreements, and changed minds all make the final cut. A perfect episode is a boring one.

Respect the listener

No filler, no stretched runtimes, no mid-roll ambushes. Your night hours are precious — we act like it.
